It’s not like England’s greatest phallic sports car needed any visual gags to make it more obvious, but watch what happens when the great French comic actor Louis de Funès gives it the Gallic treatment.
This scene is from the 1968 comedy Le petit baigneur (“The Little Bather”), which is described as a film with “a virtually non-existent plot and characters that appear to have been wrenched from the pages of a comic book,” and whose “charm lies entirely in its relentless series of visual jokes – some of which are hilariously funny.” Based on de Funès act above, it must be hilarious indeed.
