Even a few years ago, it would have been hard to believe that we would have 707 horsepower street cars just running around like it's no big deal. The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and SRT Charger Hellcat are screaming deals for all that power. You'll have to pay a little more for those extra doors, though.

Dodge has announced that their 707 horsepower, supercharged Hemi V8 muscle sedan will start at $63,995. That's about four grand more than the $59,900 Challenger Hellcat. Doors are expensive, it turns out.

Unlike the Challenger Hellcat, the sedan comes only with a new eight-speed automatic transmission, but it also turned out to be slightly faster with an 11 second quarter mile time on stock production tires. The coupe does it in 11.2. With street legal drag radials, both are 10-second cars.

And as reader Arch Duke Maxyenko, SHAZAM! pointed out, it costs about as much as the Kia K900 luxury sedan no one is buying. Come on — which would you rather have?

Also, to sweeten the deal, Dodge has announced that purchasing either car will get you a free day of driving at the SRT Driving Experience so that hopefully you can learn how to handle that power if you didn't already know. When such power becomes so accessible, a little training is probably a good idea.
