Adios, wreath. The 2015 Cadillac ATS sedan joins its brother the coupe in ushering a new, wreathless era of Cadillac grilles. And I have to say it looks pretty good.

The ATS gets a few other minor tweaks for its refresh, including new colors, text message reading on the CUE infotainment system, and a 14 percent bump in torque for the 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine to 295 pound-feet. The base 2.5-liter four and 3.6-liter V6 stay the same.

The ATS remains one of the better sport sedans on the market, but sales have lagged behind its German rivals. I think that's a shame. It's a fine car.

I'm just waiting on the ATS-V. We'll see what that has to say about the competition at BMW, Mercedes and Audi.
