You know, I watch enough MotorWeek that I can tell when John Davis is being normal John Davis enthusiastic about the Chevy Cruze or whatever and when he's really excited about a car. This is one of those times where it's the latter.

I mean, wouldn't you be excited if Hennessey Performance gave you the keys to their CTS-V Hammer Wagon? It's one of our favorite cars, the CTS-V Wagon, except Hennessized with some engine and exhaust modifications so that it puts out a stunning 658 horsepower and 661 pound-feet of torque.

It's also stylish, comfortable and practical. But who cares about that? This is a wagon that will do zero to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and only wants to go through corners at full throttle. Davis describes the end package with the Jalopnik-esque term "wonderfully ridiculous." Sounds about right to me.
