For quite a long time, Subaru was a competitor on the World Rally Championship circuit with its amazing turbocharged weapons. And that's exacty where the inspiration for the 1998 Impreza 2.5 RS came from, what, with its large wing and non-racing derived 2.5 liter boxer four engine.
On the inside, it's well equipped, with a "handsome" dash. We think MotorWeek is confusing "handsome" with "made of black plastic," but they're basically homonyms.
But don't let that spoil the performance for you. The 2.5 RS gets to 60 in a sprightly 8.2 seconds (not all that bad, really).
