The C5 had what was called 'active handling' then, and what we'd call stability control now. It can brake individual wheels to keep you on the straight and narrow.

But we also find out that the C5 Corvette apparently has a well built, elegant, and fantastic interior. Isn't the interior universally agreed to be the worst thing about the Corvette? And that's agreed on by Corvette haters and lovers alike.
