Engine swaps have been a staple of vehicular modification ever since the first speed-hungry Bedouin traded his old, sick camel for a younger one with better zero-to-six acceleration. Honda Civics are but one extension in this regard, with mod freaks swapping out the original, 106 hp hump with younger, better-performing ones — like this Civic with a 200hp VTEC K20A from an Acura RSX. The beauty of Honda is that the two engines are nearly the same size, meaning the old days of shoehorning a V8 into a tiny engine bay to get better performance are ancient history. And Civics don't spit disgusting, green lugies, at least not since 1985.
