If this SUV from Fornasari Cars is an indication, Lamborghini's LM002 has nothing to worry about — its place at the top of the Italian SUV pecking order isn't in jeopardy. Nonetheless, Fornasari's RR600, a coachbuilt luxury ute-like creature powered by a 6.0-liter Chevrolet V8 producing 610 hp and 552 lbs-ft of torque, does have a mild pedigree (Giuseppe Fornasari's father raced Alfa Romeos in the 1950s). It also has a Carbon-Kevlar body that keeps weight down, while its unusual shape drives camp factor into the stratosphere. The Chevy V8 is mated to a six-speed Borg-Warner box or Hydramatic auto and a viscous center differential deals out torque to the four corners. The company says zero to 60 is accomplished in 3.8 seconds and top speed is 174 mph. Comparisons to the Porsche Cayenne are inevitable, but this thing is on another planet altogether. [Gallery]
