A fifth-year student at Strate Coll ge in Paris won a Renault-sponsored design competition, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the company's "monospace" Minivan concept. While not technically a Minivan, Renault's original design concept, introduced in 1984 and updated in the 2002 Espace concept, combined a traditional sedan with the versatility, spacious interior and ease-of-use of a van. Gee, seems almost quaint today to think of a time when Minivans were high-concept thinking. Bah.
