The authoritarians at Motor Authority say Mustang tuner Steve Saleen gave away a few details on the 2009 Ford Mustang, whose planned facelift recently came to light. Apparently, Saleen said the base Ford Mustang GT will see a bump to 385hp, with 390 lb-ft of torque. The next Shelby Cobra GT500 (if the name remains the same) will get 500hp with 460 lb-ft of torque. All of the above, he said, will come without a price increase. Guess that means we can call off Armistice Day '09 — the horsepower wars won't be ending anytime soon.
