SsangYong Motor, the Korea-based carmaker part owned by China's Shanghai Auto, launched another of its off-the-beam SUVs, the Kyron, in Korea earlier this year. Next week, they'll be unveiling the Kyron, and hopefully the cute girls that make it look less like a 1961-era convection oven, to Europe at the Frankfurt show. We saw its larger sibling, the Rexton, in Geneva, which was launched under the design theme, "You Call Those Fenders? These Are Fenders, Mother*****." With the Kyron, a car-based SUV, the company reportedly invested 30 months and $249 million to make it competitive, and it's probably the most broadly accessible of the company's designs. Oh wait, check out the rear. It looks like a Philippe Starck bug zapper.
