Korea's Ssangyong motors is launching a small, radically designed crossover SUV in the UK, betting on a projected rise in such vehicles' worldwide popularity to lift its own profile in Europe. The new vehicle, about the size of a Toyota RAV, would be built in China by Shanghai Automotive (a major Ssangyong stakeholder) and based on the company's XCT concept, which showed up at this year's Seoul Motor Show dressed as a tipped-over jukebox from 1948.
