Alexander Antonov, Russian banker and controlling owner of Netherlands-based Spyker Cars, was shot seven times in an apparent assassination attempt. Anatov and his bodyguard are listed in critical condition after the Moscow shooting.

Authorities suspect the shooting is related to Anatov's work in the banking world and have yet to announce suspects. The crime took place last week when the unknown assailant opened fire on the banker, hitting him five times in the stomach, once in the chest, and shot one of his fingers off. Despite the brutal shooting, Anatov survived and remains in intensive care along with his bodygaurd, whose injuries were not stated. We knew the over-the-top styling on Spykers drew critics, but sheesh. [Rueters]
