They've done away with that weird flat royal blue latex paint, but Porsche is still flogging its dopey Panamera test mule ahead of the new four-door's production in 2009. We're assuming the finished product will look quite a bit more comely than the fugly duckling in these photos, published in Car. Still, the current tester is quite an effort in creative subterfuge. Imagine building fake body panels specifically to resemble an uglier version of the car that's being tested, while keeping to the expected specs. It's brilliant. The swan is expected to emerge sometime in 2008.
