Gossip sources are split over whether Mercedes's new large SUV, as spotted hither and yon, will be referred to as a G-Class or the MLX. Whichever name finds its way to the bruiser's copious fatback will determine its line positioning. If it takes the G-Class moniker, it'll likely be a super high-end model, around $15,000 to $20,000 more than the current M-Class SUV. If it take the MLX name, it'll be a mere extended version of the M (which, to be frank, looks more like the case, size-wise — judging from the test mule's scale.) Whichever it turns out to be, Mercedes will not again miss out on that whole, all-important, third row of seats thing anymore.
