Don't call it "LeMans," Audi's left the concept behind and has reportedly settled on R8 fro the production model (maybe it won't be a diesel after all). New shots of the new Teutonic sports car emerged yesterday on the blog of that road that does some winding. Latest reports indicate the R8 will slot in below the Lamborghini Gallardo, with which it will likely share a few parts, and will get power from a 450-hp version of Audi's V10 (though rumors it may get an uprated version of the RS4's 4.2-liter V8 persist). Look for it to enter production in 2007, after a launch in, where, Paris? Geneva? (Yikes, more airplaine food.)
