Spy Photos: Audi TT RS

Word came down earlier this year that Audi was indeed working on an RS version of its new TT coupe, following reports to the contrary. Audi kind of had to do it, considering the existence of BMW's M Coupe, Porsche Cayman S and Mercedes' SLK 55 AMG in the hot little market. According to spies, a reported 350 hp on tap and other tweakage will make such a flagship TT worthy of Audi's highest-performance designation. The latest reports indicate Audi will opt for a tweaked-out version of the 3.6 liter FSI V6, not a worked over, twin-turbo 2.5 liter in-line five, as had been reported. No word on earlier rumors that a transverse-mounted V8 is in the works.
