Edmunds Inside Line not only caught a clear shot of Audi's new Q7, it also confirmed the company will build a V10 version of the new luxury SUV entry. The addition of the 10 banger, offered alongside 3.2-liter V6 and 4.2-liter V8 engines, expresses Audi's subtle plan to position the Q7 to be a performance-oriented autobahn cruiser, like the Porsche Cayenne, with which it shares a common architecture, rather than an off-road capable slogger, like its own Allroad or its other platform mate, the VW Touareg. Whether the Q7 truly is "greater than" either of those remains to be seen. Still, it definitely looks better from the side than from this angle.
