[UPDATE: False alarm, it's just a V6.] With the next Cadillac CTS-V currently engaged in track floggings on the Nürburgring, spies are working overtime to find out just what will power Lutz's latest. The GM vice chair has already said the next CTS-V will "suck the doors off" a BMW M5, and some have spoken of 600 horses in the stable. But according to new images taken in the US and Germany, the engine compartment shows no sign of breathing aids. Could a straight-edge LS7 V8 be in Caddy's future? Why does 500 horsepower sound like a letdown?
