What will become of the BMW 5-Series, the most pronounced of Chris Bangle's divisive designs, after the current generation wears out its welcome? According to spies, the next iteration five, due in 2009, will not only be longer, wider and more coupe-like, but Car magazine says it'll sport "less provocative" styling. Where's the fun in that? C'mon, Chris, just one more flame surface for the road.
