The “big one” feels like an inevitability at NASCAR’s restrictor-plate tracks like Daytona. At some point, all the cars that have been bunched together by the kit that limits their top speeds will come together in a massive wad of bent metal and sadness. You might as well pass the time with a song.
Here’s Sprint Cup racer Tony Stewart busting out a line from Montell Jordan’s 1995 jam “This Is How We Do It” ahead of tonight’s first “big one.”
While it’s hard to tell how well Smoke belts out the R&B classic over a scratchy NASCAR team radio, he’s got plenty of time to perfect his smooth vocals coming up. Stewart retires at the end of this season.
Hey, man, if I had just broken an 84-race winless streak, I’d be singing, too.
DISCUSSION
Even if Tony didn’t commit murder, he still was suspiciously involved in someone’s death. But whatever. The best that can be said about Stewart is that he’s a stupid, ugly, shit heeled hick. Let’s hope he’s miserable in retirement and soon goes to hell. And for any Stewart defender: you’re a stupid hick, too. Go beat your bible or whatever you beat.
