A Peerless GT Is Not Your Average Vintage Race Car

Peerless Cars Limited was a British automaker only in business for a few years during which they built around 325 GTs using the Triumph TR3's drivetrain wrapped in a sexy fiberglass body. This is what it's like to race one today.

The latest story from Petrolucious is about a father who is really happy to see his son continue racing with the same car he used to drive for all those years. Yet a 1959 Peerless GT is not what you would call an ideal racer.

It's heavier than it should be, and with barely more than 300 ever built, it's on the rare side too.
