It's not often you hear about Wyoming around these parts, but a company from the Cowboy State is looking to make solar panels the next hip and useful car accessory. The company is developing solar cells a couple inches thick and as big as three feet by four feet to be mounted atop your vehicle to supply power to a variety of in-car system—and more!
The roof-mounted solar panels could also be used to jump the car, which could be a big convenience. Although that's ironic, isn't it? Using sustainable solar energy to jump or fix an old beater car that won't even run on the evil menace known as petroleum? [Automotive]

Does Audi still offer the solar cell-sunroof that runs the fans on a hot day? I always thought that was a no-brainer idea. I agree with NICKNICK; I'm not putting $1,000 worth of solar cells on my roof. I'd come back and find I now have a convertible.
