Star winger Jermaine Pennant left his new Porsche 911 Turbo at a Spanish train station for five weeks, slowly accruing parking tickets. Locals spotted the car, with the license plate P33NNT, and alerted authorities. His excuse? Both awesome and maddening.
According to British tabloid sources, he'd merely forgotten he owned the Porsche 911. When you make $3.7 million a year playing soccer apparently that happens. Pennant sent a friend to get the car and the plate's already been switched to his Ferrari. It should also be noted this is the same guy jailed for drunk driving, twice. Great judgment, all around.
