Car: Ford Taurus
Modification: The ultimate hood ornament, if this car was called "The Nessie."
Is Mother Nature's modification an improvement? Anything's an improvement on the late ‘90s Taurus' bubbly looks.
Car: Honda Civic
Modification: We now see why the 2011 Honda CR-Z looks the way it does after seeing this Honda Civic covered in snow. It also further emphasizes our sneaky suspicion the CR-Z is nothing more than a Civic hybrid with some aero mods.
Is Mother Nature's modification an improvement? The CR-Z's looks without the hybrid powertrain? Yes, very much so.
Car: Jeep Cherokee
Modification: Fender Flares
Is Mother Nature's modification an improvement? She really should have spec'd a wider track and huge mud tires too, but these flares would still keep slush from spraying the windshield, so yes.

Car: Volvo V70
Modification: Cab stretched forward, roof raised.
Is Mother Nature's modification an improvement? By bringing the cab forward and raising the roofline (and thereby allowing more upright seating) interior space is drastically improved. Car: VW Jetta Wagon
Modification: VW Golf proportions.
Is Mother Nature's modification an improvement? For some reason, Americans are hung on on buying Jetta's over the equally practical, more fun Golf hatchback. Nature's abhorrence of silly biases points out the error in your ways. Get the TDI with the manual.
