First the Krauts come in and buy up the Rover Group, fail to fix the mess, sell off Land Rover to the Yanks and then leave the rest to rot. Then a bunch of enterprising Brits come up with an idea to salvage the festering carcass but lose out to the Chinese. Meanwhile, another band of Germans is in the midst of killing a neat little sporting car that isn't making economic sense. So said posse of Limeys, undeterred by their inital failure, begin negotiating with DaimlerChrysler to build the smart Roadster and Coupe in Wales and Germany. The consortium, known as Project Kimber, currently is staying mum on the matter, but it's rumored production could begin as soon as 2007.
