A 25-year old man remains in the intensive care unit with serious injuries following a crash at WRC’s Argentina Rally this Saturday. He suffered multiple fractures in the accident, which resulted in six spectators being brought to the hospital. All but one are still there.

Hayden Paddon was driving a Hyundai i20 WRC when the vehicle’s speed carried it off the road and into the group of spectators. According to Paddon, “We were flat out over the crest in the morning and the car lifted, but with some more ruts in the road after all the cars had gone through, when we went flat over there this afternoon, the car flew further and landed awkwardly.”

Paddon and his co-driver John Kennard were uninjured in the crash.
