More than 2,000 auto industry executives, politicians, journalists and academic types met in Shanghai last week for the sixth Challenge Bibendum. Sponsored by Michelin, and named for the French formulation for "Michelin Man," the Challenge showcases automotive technologies for alternative fuel, highway congestion, pedestrian safety, and environmental issues.
