Jimi Heseldan, the 62-year-old owner of the Segway Company, died yesterday when he accidentally drove one of the sucky two-wheeled gyroscope-controlled "future" transports off a cliff and into a river.

Heselden started out life as a miner in Britain before making millions in defense contracting and design with the money he saved from his severance package. Later in life he purchased the Segway company and, yesterday, he was patrolling the grounds of his North Yorkshire estate in one when it went off the trail and off a cliff into a river. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

We don't have a picture of Heselden on a Segway, so here's Paul Blart: Mall Cop falling off of one.
