After an amazing career in motorsports behind the wheel of some of the greatest machines to ever hit the track, we imagine hooning the 1985 Toyota Supra in the middle of New York City on a Toyota commercial shoot would seem like just another day at the office for Dan Gurney.
Even so according to Gurney, racing the twin cam electronically fuel injected inline six up Fifth Avenue and through the city was "fun". We have a sneaking suspicion Gurney's level of enjoyment didn't have much to do with being surrounded by the Supra's "luxury".
Racing through empty New York City streets thanks to a massive police detail would certainly be ideal although it's completely unrealistic for anyone who isn't a motorsports legend filming a car commercial. After watching this classic vintage advertisement we would honestly be happy if we were able to find a clean 1985 Supra to hoon anywhere.
