Seat Eyeing Tango Roadster for Production

A report in Autocar suggests VW's Seat will produce the Tango roadster concept it showed in 2002 if it can find enough spare parts in its junk drawer. Not to imply Seat's parts are junk, mind you, just that the clubbing, chillout-music-listening, energy-cocktail-sipping division must leverage its existing platforms. Design maven Luc Donckerwolke says he wants Seat to be a "design-driven brand," and the Tango would have to rely on design (and its cabrio top) to attract buyers, considering it won't have the performance numbers of the concept.
