Toyota announced this week that the square xB and the, er, turnip-shaped xA will be history after this year. The now-iconic xB and less-so xA will meet their production doom in December, but they'll be replaced in mid-2007 by two, 2008 models yet to be announced. According to insiders, one will look vaguely like a slice of cantelope, the other will be in the shape of an isosceles trapezoid.
