A Fort Worth, TX area school district is motivating students to work hard and stay in school with an annual car give away. Students earn tickets throughout the school year for good grades and attendance, each of which are an entry into the end of the year drawing for a brand new car. The Texas school district believes the increased chance of winning a car will motivate students.
When the drawing was held last Friday 14 year old Kenzie Deaton was picked as the lucky winner of the 2011 Camaro. Understandably surprised after winning, the high school freshman said she plans to let her parents drive the car until she reaches the legal driving age. How well the controversial program actually works is certainly debatable, but we can't imagine much that would have motivated us more in high school than the chance of winning a new Camaro.
