Aftermarket tuner, Roush Performance, famous for its Mustang performance upgrades that can turn off-the-line GTs into triple-crown thoroughbreds, adds a Stage 3 to its lineup of F-150 performance packages. AutoWeek took one of Roush's Stage 3s, boasting a Magnuson supercharger bolted to Ford s 5.4-liter Triton V8, for a few burns around the parking lot. AW deemed the truck, and its bolted-on 405hp/480lb-ft fine for now, but unimpressive in light of, say, Dodge s 500-hp SRT-10, but will likely keep well-heeled (it costs nearly 50 grand, soup-to-nuts) Ford enthusiasts occupied until the new SVT Lightning is released next year.
