Return of the Chinese supercar wedding

A wedding in Wenzhou, China, last Thursday included a traffic-clogging procession of 28 exotics vehicles, including several Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Bentleys. In a country where the rich are still nouveau, the display has sparked a backlash.

Exotic-car parades have apparently become the must-have accent to high-end Chinese weddings, but a video and news coverage of the procession has led to thousands of comments in a matter of days, debating whether the procession reflects a coarsening of Chinese culture, and the problems of getting a foothold in China's exploding cities:

If one doesn't have money, it is best not to go to that place, [where you would be] worse than a dog. People without money should be in a smaller place, a smaller city, it will be much better there, and you'll have the opportunity to move up [in the world].

H/T to Robert!
