Renault will unveil its latest take on the urban people pod, the Z17 concept car, at the Geneva motor show next month. The Z17 is an upscale small car, built for both economy of (small) scale and enthusiasts' pleasure, according to the company. It's also an example of market research gone batshit batty — since research shows cars carry only 1.4 people, on average, the Z17 is fitted with only three seats (hey, it's double the average!), meaning a serial killer transporting 40% of his victim can bring a friend along to help with the burial. Who says tight demographic targeting is useless?
