Who else is excited about the Ford Fiesta ST? Reviews have been positive, and it sounds like it distills all the ridiculous fun of the impressive Focus ST into a smaller package. Turns out it's pretty fuel efficient, too — and cheap!
Ford this morning released more stats on the Fiesta ST. The car has been EPA certified to get 26 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway for a combined 29 mpg. Seriously, why would you buy a Corolla over that?
The folks at Ford say they think buyers will cross shop this with the Fiat 500 Abarth and Chevrolet Sonic RS, but at 197 horsepower and 202 lb-ft of torque, the ST trumps both in the power department by a wide margin.
It's also significantly cheaper than another competitor, the Mini Cooper JCW. The base price of the Fiesta ST will be under $22,000, making the wee hot hatch an impressive performance bargain.
Seriously, I'm pumped to try this thing for myself so I too can get my Chris Harris on.
