I don't believe I'm mistaken when I say that VLN racing has about 5,194 cars on track at the same time. So when you crash at a narrow track like the Nurburgring on the first lap and have the entire field coming at you, you need to pray you'll be ok. Andrew Sapino got lucky.
On the way into Flugplatz, the left front wheel falls off. The result of this is considerable understeer. He then hits the barrier, does a 180, and has 3,000+ cars bearing down on him.
Somehow, he got away from it without being hit head on. And there are some brutally close calls.
