Porsche released technical specs for its next-generation 911 (997) GT3 Cup car, which will compete in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB in 2006. Big changes over the type 996 model include a six-speed sequential gearbox and a boost in power to 400bhp, among other tweaks. Carrera Cup teams, which will be able to purchase the cars doughnut-shop style — on a first-come, first-served basis — can expect to take delivery of the 18 cars to be built in March 2006. No bakers' dozens allowed.
