Dear Porsche: It’s really not the end of the world when you license your fantastic cars for video games. You’ll see soon, once everyone downloads them en masse for Forza Horizon 2.
The game’s latest expansion pack, due to hit the Interwebs tomorrow, is likely its best one yet because it’s full of Porsches for us to drive virtually. Ten of them, in fact, ranging from the humble 914/6 to the mighty and shiny 918 Spyder. Our friends at Autoblog broke the news on the lineup today, which consists of:
- 1970 Porsche 914/6
- 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3
- 1987 Porsche 959
- 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo
- 2003 Porsche Carrera GT
- 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 (997)
- 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S
- 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder
- 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS
- 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo
Not bad. Not bad at all. It’s a solid, diverse lineup that salutes the new stuff as well as the historical favorites.
The Porsche Expansion Pack will be available tomorrow, June 9. Hopefully this means we’ll see more Porsches in our video games. Looking at you, Gran Turismo!
