Pontiac Offering Big Incentives on 2004 GTO

Pontiac is on a major push to get its lukewarm-selling 2004 GTOs off dealers' lots. The company is offering cash-back incentives of up to $3,500, and low-interest loans of between 0% and 2.9%, depending on loan term. We know we've not been kind to the new Goat, but that's mainly due to its jellybean styling. But these deals may just alter our perception. At under $30,000, the GTO's 350hp, 5.7 liter, 6-speed combination almost looks like it offers a reasonable dollars-to-horsepower ratio. What say? Most of the leftovers are automatics, which require a $1,000 gas-guzzler tax? We'll have to keep searching.
