Fans of cheapy cars the size of Maurice Villency loveseats have a new, Italian-designed two-seater to spend their Eurobux on. The plastic-constructed MyCar, designed by ItalDesign Giugiaro and built by Hong Kong's Innovech International, will cost around $7,000 — or two-thirds that of a Smart car — when it hits European shores later this year. Powered by either a single-cylinder gas engine (50cc to 250cc) or electric motor (4 Kw to 15 Kw), the 770-lb convertible can hit urban-only speeds of between 28mph and 53mph. The company plans to sell up to 2,000 of the models in Europe, mainly to those not prone to humiliation by scooter.
