Peugeot RCZ: For Skinny TT-Loving Frenchies

The 2010 Pugeot RCZ looks incredibly close to the original and much-lauded Peugeot 308 RCZ Concept. The swoopy French Audi TT-fighting coupe will be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The RCZ hits like a shotgun blast of design, there's a lot to take in. It wears the familiar Peugeot nose, but everything else is high style and executed in a distinctly French way. The shape still reminds us of a Mitsubishi Eclipse with most of he ugly wrung out, but we're loving the compound curved rear glass and the aggressively styled fenders, though we're not so sure about that side glass and oddly integrated front badge. In any case, old-world only automobile will be powered by a trio of engines, a 1.6 liter turbocharged DI four with a six-speed manual or automatic with 156HP and 177 lb.ft. of twist, a 1.6 liter turbocharged four with 200HP and 188 lb.ft. of torque, and finally a 2.0 liter turbo diesel four cylinder with a six-speed manual with 163HP and a stout 251 lb.ft. of twist while returning 43 MPG. It'll be making a formal debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
