According to the Blue Oval folks, Ford Flex was the seventh most popular search term on Yahoo last Sunday, and the only vehicle in the top 10 most-searched topics. We're not really sure why that's news, but Ford seems pretty excited about it. Our thoughts? Well, we're happy they're happy — we don't know what more there is to say. If they don't make it, it sure will.

As far as manual wagons go, no one wants a manual diesel Jetta, do they? Or a manual Audi Avant? Or a manual Subaru wagon? No... No one wants any of those...

The truth is, that offering AWD wagons already selects for people predisposed to using a manual. If it can save weight or improves economy, you got some more market there. More importantly, if you are THE ONLY vehicle in a certain market segment, the odds are higher of success in that segment, than if you try to compete with everyone else in producing another iteration of the same thing everyone else makes.
