Pascal Meslet's World of Volkswagen

Now that Volkswagen's just another maker of sedans and SUVs, it's hard to imagine a time when the humpty-dumpty Beetle and its merry band of bulbous fastbacks, microbuses and station wagons were cultural emblems. Illustrator Pascal Meslet incorporates that VW character as a motif in his drawings, which range from Charles Adams—style bizarro cartoons to Rockwellian representations of drag-strip Americana. Check out this Brazilian site featuring Meslet's works and other VW-related pop art.
