Jose Gonzalez's 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS started out as fine specimen of old-school muscle. Of course, the ragtop was just begging for a complete teardown and ground-up rebuild, which Gonzalez commissioned to Hi-Low Hydraulics in El Paso, Texas. Hi-Lo installed a three-pump hydraulics system, chromed the car's 327 V8, and slathered on a super-sweet root beer metallic paint job, with a gold base and acres of clearcoat. Now, the '64's a Best of Show winner, with music video credits. Not bad for a forty-year-old.
