Nobody thinks that magically, more oil is going to appear in the ground rapidly enough to replace what we're using currently at any sustainable pace. But could it be that we're not using it as quickly as we thought? Cambridge Energy Research Associates says that we've got enough left in the ground to last us 122 years at current rates of consumption. Then we can start drilling on the moon.
