Damon of Drivewire fame tossed us over this link to an article at the paper Bay Area types refer to simply as The Chron. The Great State of California has filed suit against the federal government over what they see as revised fuel economy stats that don't set the bar high enough. Meanwhile, the feds say that standards can't be raised too quickly without endangering America's manufacturing base. Wait, suddenly the Gov't cares about the auto industry? Meanwhile, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island and Vermont, plus DC and NYC are siding with Cali.
