Clone purveyor, thy name is whoops. Carscoop reports Chinese automaker Shandong Huoyun has ceased building its two-seater Smart Fortwo doppelganger, following some manner of cease-and-desist missive from DaimlerChrysler. Company executives, while complying with the order, plead ignorance, saying they based their electric car on a scale model purchased over the Internet. We haven't heard the final peal from Shandong. The company will change the minicar to be just a bit less Smart, and try again. Look out, Mini.
