No Cube for You: Mazda's Carol "G Special"

We don't know who Carol G is, but we assume she's tiny, cheap and not coming to American anytime soon. Mazda is launching a version of its boxy Carol keicar in Japan that's 42,000 yen cheaper than the current base model (don't get excited, it's only around $350), or around $9,400 total including tax. The G Special edition offers a value package including 13" alloy wheels, power mirrors and tinted glass. Mazda hopes the added value will make the venerable Carol marque stand out in Japan's huge keijidousha market that's lousy with minicars sold by competitors Daihatsu, Suzuki, Honda, Mitsubishi, Subaru and Smart.
